All Saints

Today is All Saints!

Meat

Whale and meat in the whole gamut of bluebottles feeding on rot. Gloriously rainbow-colored. son, prime minke!

I should add that for a long time it looked like an nondescript gizzard. Only at the very end the cetaceous quality emerged.

ズリッパリー

Slippery something. Aiming well.

Mountain

The Alps. Tibet. The bowels of the earth. (they contain a shrimp, it appears; mid-right Everest, just like real mountains and cliffs often do)

Mouth

I don't know why but I am having a really hard time converting this into jpeg... The colors change so dramatically that I had to reduce the original gamma and saturation by 10-20%.

Very odd! I have never experienced such a problem.

Such a tasty detail:

Abstract 2

Looks like coffee or Guinness.

This image will not look much on bad monitors. You can tell from the histogram that a lot of details are in the light and dark parts:

Sunday 28 October 2007

Abstract

Purely abstract. Very Chinese.

Friday 26 October 2007

Wave

Wow, something that isn't square!

Very gentle palette on this one.

Ape 2

Another great Ape. A bacterial disco ape, baby!

Cloud

His sibling?

The detail shows a very satisfying part. Round, compact, cute, sits lovely. Ready to be plucked.

Sanpo 2

Something retro going on there...

and a detail:

Organ 2

And a detail to enjoy:

This organ might very well be vital. During certain stages I thought to have lost balance because it reminded me more of an image manipulation than a painting. But, as a matter of fact, it is entirely "hand made."

The detail reveals "the hand", as it were. There is something old-master-dutch about the detail, I think. Perhaps I should pick up on that in a later work.

Ethereal dreams draped in cigarette smoke.

I am pleased with it.

Ape Portrait

The Great Ape. Her gentle smile reminds me of you.

Cute detail:

Nematoid

travelling testicle

...and a closeup on how the parasite attached itself.

Image

Another image. This one grows on me, I like it more and more.

I had particular pleasure doing this bit:

Portrait

Portrait with detail!

Hmm. Those bigger ones work less well on the screen but I guess they make nicer prints.

Edit: I like it more and more.

Organscape

I went to yakitori yesterday.

And a detail:

A Forest

A forest. A forest of thoughts. With a detail.

Great growth. Very pleased with that aspect.

Gastronaut

I did the gastronaut last year as part of my professional portfolio.

There is an earlier post here that features a detail. Since I haven't anything posted in a while I thought I'd upload the whole image.

(Busy at work these days AND broken laptop at home...)
