Today is All Saints!

Meat

Whale and meat in the whole gamut of bluebottles feeding on rot. Gloriously rainbow-colored. son, prime minke!

I should add that for a long time it looked like an nondescript gizzard. Only at the very end the cetaceous quality emerged.

ズリッパリー

Slippery something. Aiming well.

Mountain

The Alps. Tibet. The bowels of the earth. (they contain a shrimp, it appears; mid-right Everest, just like real mountains and cliffs often do)

Mouth

I don't know why but I am having a really hard time converting this into jpeg... The colors change so dramatically that I had to reduce the original gamma and saturation by 10-20%.

Very odd! I have never experienced such a problem.

This image will not look much on bad monitors. You can tell from the histogram that a lot of details are in the light and dark parts:

The detail shows a very satisfying part. Round, compact, cute, sits lovely. Ready to be plucked.

This organ might very well be vital. During certain stages I thought to have lost balance because it reminded me more of an image manipulation than a painting. But, as a matter of fact, it is entirely "hand made."

The detail reveals "the hand", as it were. There is something old-master-dutch about the detail, I think. Perhaps I should pick up on that in a later work.
